Role of regional universities in Australia

Often there's that stereo type of the school graduate heading into the city universities after they've left year 12 but what is the value of studying in regional Australia? How different is regional campus life from the big cities? You could say there's prestige associated with city based universities, but is it well earned?

We take a closer look at the world of regional universities in Australia with Vice-Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland, Professor Geraldine Mackenzie along with Professor Nick Klomp, formerly of the University of Canberra and Charles Sturt University, and now Vice Chancellor at CQ University - also known as Central Queensland University.
