Five Uni Hub Spencer Gulf students have been awards scholarships to assist with their tertiary education journey.
The money was donated by John Pirie Secondary School, Pirie Partnership Group and an anonymous donor.
Three of the recipients received a $1000 Country Scholarship, one received a $1000 Country Education Scholarship while another was awarded a $2000 Master of Education Scholarship.
Director of the Uni Hub Moira Coffey says the scholarships are a good sign for both the students and the companies involved.
“We’re just really excited that the local education industry is backing our students,” she said.
“It’s good endorsement for us and it’s really encouraging for our students because they’re looking and going ‘well the people who are going to employment me are willing to put up scholarships to help me study,’ so we think that’s just a great outcome for everyone.”
