Eyre Peninsula Community Engagement Coordinator (part time)

Uni Hub Spencer Gulf is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Coordinator to help connect students, schools, and industry across the Eyre Peninsula.

Based in Port Lincoln, this role focuses on driving school engagement, industry collaboration, and community outreach to promote tertiary education pathways in the region.

You’ll work closely with local schools, employers, and community partners to:

  • Deliver career-focused school activities and engagement programs

  • Identify workforce and education needs across regional industries

  • Support open days, expos, and outreach events

  • Build partnerships that link students to local employment opportunities

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Communicates with confidence and compassion

  • Thrives in a flexible, team-based environment

  • Has experience in education, training, or regional development

  • Brings strong local networks across the Eyre Peninsula

Roxby Downs & Far North Coordinator (part time)

Uni Hub Spencer Gulf is seeking a passionate and community-minded individual to take on the role of Roxby Downs & Far North Coordinator.

Based at Roxby Downs or Port Augusta, this part-time position is ideal for someone who is connected with local industry and employers, has excellent communication & interpersonal skills, is skilled in community engagement, and is confident supporting students throughout their learning journey.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting tertiary education pathways and Uni Hub partner courses to students, employers, and local networks
  • Supporting students with applications, orientation, study assistance, and ongoing engagement
  • Delivering school-based activities and coordinating local professional development opportunities
  • Building relationships across Far North schools, industry, and community 
  • Supporting medical students placed in the region through the University of Adelaide’s Rural Clinical School

 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A background in education, training, or business
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
  • A good understanding of local workforce needs and opportunities
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and digital tools
  • A current driver’s licence (WWCC and Police Check required)

Uni Hub tutors

Are you passionate about education and supporting regional university students on their academic journey? Uni Hub is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable professionals for casual tutoring roles across our regional centres and online.

As a Uni Hub tutor, you will provide flexible, responsive, and high-quality academic support to students studying locally with our university partners. You will work closely with Centre Managers to ensure students receive timely and relevant guidance tailored to their individual learning needs.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting students to understand course content, theories, and frameworks
  • Assisting with assessments, including task interpretation, content development, and proof-reading
  • Providing guidance on academic writing, referencing, and sourcing scholarly materials
  • Facilitating the development of strong study habits and independent learning strategies
  • Supporting Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and residential school preparation
  • Helping students source placements and providing check-ins during placement (for select degrees)
  • Running group-based academic support sessions in-centre or online
  • Building students’ confidence in communication, critical thinking, and academic systems
  • Promoting time management, goal setting, note-taking, and assessment planning skills
  • Modelling professionalism and providing a respectful and supportive learning environment
  • Contributing to Uni Hub’s marketing and community engagement activities as needed
