Entry requirements
• Subject pre-requisites: English (Units 3&4. C). General Mathematics (Units 3 & 4. C), or equivalent.
• Recommended prior study: Mathematical Methods (Units 3&4. C), or equivalent

Major studies
The Bachelor of Construction (Honours) consists of a core major study component (Construction Management) and minor study. The major study provides students with knowledge and skills in a specific discipline.

Minor studies
The Bachelor of Construction (Honours) consists of a core major study component and a minor study. The minor study provides students with knowledge a n d skills in a specific a r e a or specialisation.
A minor study in a program is a group of four units of courses that provides students an appropriate breadth of study in an area of specialisation. Students must complete four (4) units from the minors listed below. The minor studies available are:

• Building
• Civil
• Transdisciplinary

Work placement

To be eligible to graduate from the Bachelor of Construction (Honours), students must obtain an aggregate of at least 60 days of suitable work experience in an architectural, engineering or construction organisation.

Exit points
Students who are unable to complete the Bachelor of Construction (Honours) may be permitted to exit with either the Associate Degree of Construction or the Diploma of Engineering Studies, if they satisfy the necessary requirements.

SUMMARY

Graduates will develop proficiency in problem-solving analysis, engineering design and construction project and business management, as well as expertise in built environment, quantity surveying and building services design.

Diversify your skill set by completing a minor study within a specific area or specialisation. You have the option to choose a minor in building, construction or to create your own.
