Uni Hub Spencer Gulf has welcomed Rhys Millington to the team at the Port Pirie University Centre.

Rhys replaces former Student and Campus Coordinator Kim Gregory, who has taken a new appointment with the Uni Hub as Team Leader Student Experience.

Rhys is a familiar face to the Port Pirie region, growing up in Beetaloo Valley before pursuing university in Adelaide. He lives in Port Pirie with his wife Amanda and daughter Macy.

Before joining the Uni Hub Rhys worked in Local Government for 13 years, working across a number of councils in community development roles.

“Joining the Uni Hub team was a great opportunity to be involved with an organisation who make a big difference to our region, both in supporting local people access university, and in playing a part in working towards building our local workforce to ensure our region prospers into the future,” he said.

“I hope that having experienced university and the challenges involved and having a good knowledge of the region, I can connect with and support students with some lived experience.”
