Year 12 students across the region will be receiving their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) on Monday, 15 December – a milestone that marks an important step in their transition from school to further study.
While the ATAR plays a role in university entry requirements, it is just one part of the bigger picture. For many students, this period brings both excitement and uncertainty as they weigh up their options for the future.
To provide guidance at this pivotal time, Uni Hub Spencer Gulf will once again run ATAR Week from 15 to 19 December. Across the week, students and families can access personalised advice, resources, and information about the many pathways to university and beyond.
“Receiving an ATAR can feel overwhelming, but it’s important to remember it doesn’t define your future,” said Uni Hub Spencer Gulf Operations Manager, Rhys Millington.
“Our team is here to support students whether they’re celebrating their results or considering alternative pathways. ATAR Week is all about giving them the tools and confidence to take their next step.”
As part of the week, Uni Hub will host an Open Day on Wednesday, 17 December, where students and their families can:
- Tour Uni Hub’s university centres
- Meet staff and ask questions
- Discover how studying locally can help them achieve their goals
One-on-one appointments are also available throughout the week, giving students the chance to discuss their results and explore study options tailored to their ambitions. Families are encouraged to come in for a chat, so they’re not left wondering “what’s next?”.
“We’re committed to helping every student find the right path, no matter their ATAR,” Mr Millington said. “There are many ways to reach your goals, and Uni Hub is here to help you on the journey.”
Uni Hub Spencer Gulf centres will close for the Christmas break at 5pm on Wednesday, 24 December and reopen on Monday, 4 January 2026.
