Applications for mid-year enrolments are now open at Uni Hub Spencer Gulf, with a range of new courses now on offer.
Uni Hub Spencer Gulf CEO, Anita Crisp explained that through its partnerships with Flinders University, CQUniversity and University of Adelaide, the Uni Hub was able to support students to study locally.
“For many people, either relocating to Adelaide for university, or studying on-line completely on your own is really daunting. Uni Hub now gives people in the region another option for university study,” she said.
“They can stay in their local community but still have access to face-to-face academic and general university support that is available for students in Adelaide.”
Uni Hub’s partnerships focus on university qualifications that are in demand by local employers, particularly across the health and social services, engineering, education and business sectors.
“We’re really excited to be offering an expanded range of courses from July 2021,” Ms Crisp said.
This includes a range of health service courses delivered by Flinders University include a Bachelor of Health Sciences (specialising in ageing, digital health or innovation), a Bachelor degree and Undergraduate Certificate of Public Health, Diploma and Associate Degree in Disability and Community Inclusion and an Undergraduate Certificate in Aged Care.
“From mid-2021 our Flinders University business course offerings will expand to include the Bachelor of Accounting, in addition to the Bachelor of Business and Master of Business Administration,” Ms Crisp said.
“For those interested the mining, construction or manufacturing sectors, we now have an Undergraduate Certificate in Introductory Engineering or Graduate Certificate in Asset and Maintenance Management available through CQUniversity. These qualifications are in addition to CQU’s Associate Degree in Engineering, which kicked off earlier this year.
“Short courses in project management and team leadership are also on offer through our partnership with The University of Adelaide and are great for people already in the workforce who are interested in advancing their professional career.”
These new courses have been introduced at Uni Hub Spencer Gulf, just in time for the mid-year university intake and will be available through Uni Hub’s Port Pirie, Port Augusta and Copper Coast university centres.
