Uni Hub Spencer Gulf’s Port Pirie University Centre will open its doors to the public with an Open Day on November 30.

The day will give locals the opportunity to look at the Uni Hub’s recently upgraded facilities, as well as learn more about studying university locally, without the need to leave the region.

Port Pirie student and campus coordinator Rhys Millington said with 2023 university applications currently underway, now was the ideal time for anyone considering tertiary study to drop in to find out more about the support provided by the Uni Hub.

“People can come in and have a look at the university centre facilities and find out about local options for university study and career development across a range of professional and technical fields,” Mr Millington said.

“Whether you’re in Year 11 or 12, a recent school leaver, already in the workforce and looking to upskill or even change careers, the Open Day can give you more information and help take the next step.

“There will also be plenty of information about how Uni Hub can support people throughout their university journey – from enrolment through to graduation.

“We’re really proud of the strong partnerships we have with local industry sectors and our partner universities to offer qualifications that will help ‘grow our own’ skilled workforce, right here in our own community.”

Uni Hub’s Port Pirie Open Day will be held on Wednesday, 30 November, from noon to 5pm and will host the Business Port Pirie monthly meeting from 6pm.

The Port Pirie University Centre is located at 97 Ellen Street, Port Pirie.
